La Ceiba-White Water River Rafting, Cangrejal Valley

A short ride takes us to the Cangrejal Valley overlooking the mighty Cangrejal River. La Ceiba - Cayos Cochinos Islands
Cayos Cochinos is a Marine Protected Area, which includes part of the world’s second largest coral reef system known as the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef. Cayo Menor, the smaller of the two main islands, has a scientific research station. These islands are amazingly beautiful, prompting National Geographic to write, “The waters around this collection of coral cays are a marine biologist’s dream: protected by the government, off-limits to commercial divers and fishermen, busy with creatures that may not yet have names. After a short flight, snorkeling, scuba diving, and lunch is available. Or just kick back and enjoy swimming and the beach.

Guanaja- Bay Islands

Tour 1. Hiking to Waterfall, the hike takes approximately 45 minutes and Isn’t too difficult. The first part was fairly flat as we follow the stream that leads from the waterfall emptying out to the ocean. It was an easy, slow walk with our group ranging between 13-60 years old. The gift at the end of the hike is to climb into the cool refreshing pools for a swim and to stand under the falls cooling us off in gratitude. It is spectacular.

Copan - Historic Ruins
Fly along the coast toward Copan, passing over Tela and San Pedro Sula landing near the beautiful town of Copan and the National World Heritage Historic Site Copan Ruins. Discovered in 1570 by Diego García de Palacio, the ruins of Copán, one of the most important sites of the Mayan civilization, were not excavated until the 19th century. The ruined citadel and imposing public squares reveal the three main stages of development before the city was abandoned in the early 10th century.
